We're Here For You
Employee Assistance Program
You and your dependents are automatically covered by the Employee Assistance Program (EAP) at no cost to you. The EAP is a confidential service that can help you and your family members with:
- Family or marital problems
- Job-related issues
- Legal or financial concerns
- Drug or alcohol abuse
- Stress, anxiety or other emotional problems
The program provides up to five free visits and access to an online Education and Resource Center covering a number of subjects. The EAP is administered by Anthem.
Tobacco Cessation Program
Anthem’s Tobacco Free program:
- Is designed with five visits
- Addresses all forms of tobacco use, including smoking, chewing and vaping
- Provides video visits with health coaches for behavior modification coaching and support
- Offers Nicotine Replacement Therapy, which can be ordered by a health coach and sent directly to your home
- Can arrange an optional physician office visit (at your expense based on your XPO medical coverage) should a prescription be needed as part of treatment
- Provides access to health coaches by appointment seven days a week in all 50 states
To begin, contact Anthem. You’ll complete a personal assessment, and your coach will customize the program to fit your schedule and preferences. You can also get one-on-one support to help overcome any emotional, physical or social barriers that might stand in the way of achieving lasting success.
Avoid the Tobacco Surcharge
If you and/or your covered family member complete five tobacco cessation visits (with Anthem or another vendor approved by the XPO Benefit Center) and submit a certificate of completion to the XPO Benefit Center, you will no longer pay the tobacco surcharge on your health care coverage. Once the surcharge has been removed, your tobacco-free status will roll over automatically from year to year.
24-Hour Health Information Line
With Anthem’s 24/7 NurseLine, you can talk with a registered nurse 24 hours a day, 365 days a year at no extra cost.
When you have a high fever, bad cough or an allergic reaction, you may not be sure where to go for care. A 24/7 NurseLine registered nurse will ask you a few questions about your symptoms. The nurse can give you information to help you decide what to do: go to urgent care, see your doctor, go to the emergency room or care for yourself at home.
Anthem’s 24/7 NurseLine is personal and confidential. Instead of worrying and waiting, call and speak directly with a medical professional. They can provide support and guidance for any non-emergency situation, even when your doctor’s office is closed. Remember: In an emergency, call 911 or visit the nearest hospital.
You can also call the 24/7 NurseLine to listen to dozens of taped health and wellness topics in English and Spanish.
When you are enrolled in an XPO medical plan, you have access to tools and resources that can save you time and money, including a telemedicine service through Anthem: LiveHealth Online. This resource connects you directly to a board-certified doctor who can discuss your health care concerns, review treatment options and even prescribe medication over the phone or virtually. It’s like visiting the doctor without the travel time and waiting!
Televisits with LiveHealth Online usually cost less than going to a convenience care or urgent care clinic, and significantly less than going to an emergency room. And your out-of-pocket cost is the same or less than a visit with your primary care provider.
Remember, you should only use telehealth services for non-life-threatening conditions.
Register for one or both today, so you’ll be ready to use a telehealth service when and where you need it.
