Disability Coverage

Short-Term Disability Insurance

As an XPO employee, you receive Short-Term Disability (STD) Insurance at no cost to you. You have the option to buy additional STD Insurance to provide financial protection in the event you are not able to work due to an extended illness or injury.

Long-Term Disability Insurance

Long-Term Disability (LTD) Insurance provides financial protection if you are not able to work due to an extended illness or injury. XPO provides Basic LTD Insurance at no cost to you. Basic LTD replaces 50% of your eligible annual pay for a coverage period of up to three years.

You are automatically enrolled in Supplemental LTD coverage, which provides 60% income replacement (up to plan limits) and extends the coverage period to at least age 65. You can opt out of this coverage during your enrollment window.

Automatic LTD Buy-up Coverage

XPO believes in the value of Long-Term Disability (LTD) insurance. We’ve teamed up with our LTD insurance carrier to give you an easy and tax-effective way to increase your income protection coverage. However, you can opt out of this employee-paid option during Open Enrollment, but please consider how important this valuable coverage is to you and your family before making a decision.
